Test Technician Level 2
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mid-level proficiency testing and troubleshooting Electronics
- Familiar with PCBA programming.
- Assemble and set up equipment to functionally test and debug printed circuit assemblies
- Perform functional checks and assist in installing electronic assemblies and circuits such as communications circuits for electronic systems, fixtures and accessories.
- Records production test data and consistently maintains acceptable levels of production according to established standards
- Troubleshooting and repair assemblies or circuit boards of electronic systems, electro-mechanical equipment, computer-controlled systems using bills of materials, schematics, component specifications, or other means.
- Monitor control systems and assist in support of electro-mechanical assembly. Operate meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters and other test equipment, as needed
- Operate support equipment necessary for performance and functional testing.
- Perform mechanical operations necessary for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, dismantling and disassembly directly related to the above systems.
- Refers to process documentation (test instructions, drawings, schematics, travelers, BOM’s, and specifications) to perform tasks.
- Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or work experience equivalent.
- 3 – 5 yrs. experience testing and troubleshooting electronics
- 2+ years in a Test Lab and/or a manufacturing environment preferred
- Thorough understanding of electrical/electronic technology.
- Able to read and understand engineering documentation (blueprints, wire schematics, drawings, component specifications and ECN’s).
- Able to set up and use electronic test equipment.
- Strong verbal and written English language skills, (Witness Testing).
- Strong computer skills (use of Excel, Word, HyperTerminal and other Programs).
- High degree of problem solving and troubleshooting
- Computer skills – Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
- Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7am until 5:30pm with lunch and breaks. Some overtime may be required as needed.
