Test Technician Level 2

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mid-level proficiency testing and troubleshooting Electronics
  • Familiar with PCBA programming.
  • Assemble and set up equipment to functionally test and debug printed circuit assemblies
  • Perform functional checks and assist in installing electronic assemblies and circuits such as communications circuits for electronic systems, fixtures and accessories.
  • Records production test data and consistently maintains acceptable levels of production according to established standards
  • Troubleshooting and repair assemblies or circuit boards of electronic systems, electro-mechanical equipment, computer-controlled systems using bills of materials, schematics, component specifications, or other means.
  • Monitor control systems and assist in support of electro-mechanical assembly. Operate meters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, RF power meters and other test equipment, as needed
  • Operate support equipment necessary for performance and functional testing.
  • Perform mechanical operations necessary for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, dismantling and disassembly directly related to the above systems.
  • Refers to process documentation (test instructions, drawings, schematics, travelers, BOM’s, and specifications) to perform tasks.
  • Shows commitment to quality and total customer satisfaction through dedicating skills to achieve zero defect status
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering or work experience equivalent.
  • 3 – 5 yrs. experience testing and troubleshooting electronics
  • 2+ years in a Test Lab and/or a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Thorough understanding of electrical/electronic technology.
  • Able to read and understand engineering documentation (blueprints, wire schematics, drawings, component specifications and ECN’s).
  • Able to set up and use electronic test equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills, (Witness Testing).
  • Strong computer skills (use of Excel, Word, HyperTerminal and other Programs).
  • High degree of problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
Working Hours:
  • Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7am until 5:30pm with lunch and breaks. Some overtime may be required as needed.
