PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Assembler

 

Job Summary:

 

We are seeking a talented PCB assembler to join our growing team team! the individual is responsible for accurately inserting through-hole components into printed circuit boards according to assembly drawings, work instructions, and bill of materials (BOM). The operator ensures high-quality workmanship and compliance with IPC and company standards.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

 

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, BOMs, and work instructions to properly identify and insert PTH components.
  • Insert electronic components into designated holes on PCBs while maintaining correct orientation and alignment.
  • Ensure correct component values and locations are used based on visual aids and documentation.
  • Trim component leads as needed and prepare boards for soldering (wave or hand soldering processes).
  • Perform visual inspections for correct placement, polarity, and damage before soldering.
  • Flag and report any discrepancies or quality issues to the team lead or supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and follow ESD precautions.
  • Meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Assist with rework and touch-up tasks when needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in electronics assembly or related manufacturing role.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to distinguish electronic components and read assembly documentation.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards.
  • Basic knowledge of ESD handling procedures.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • IPC-A-610 certification or equivalent training.
  • Experience working with both leaded and RoHS-compliant assemblies.
  • Previous experience with wave soldering or selective soldering processes.

 

Working Hours:

  • Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7am until 5:30pm with lunch and breaks. Some overtime may be required as needed.
